It sounds like a cliché drunken night with friends from a sitcom, but police are not laughing and three men are under arrest.
It started late Thursday night, as four men became unruly at the Hideaway Saloon in Vacaville. They were asked to leave, and as they left, they pulled the fire alarm from the wall.
They then started spinning donuts in their car in the saloon’s parking lot, before speeding away.
Meanwhile, Vacaville Police were already making a traffic stop nearby.
The men from the bar left the road for some reason, drove through a field at more than 50 mph, rammed through a PG&E high voltage electrical box, then hit one of the police officers’ cars.
As the car was coming toward the patrol car, officers opened fire on the suspects, but they didn’t stop.
After hitting the officer’s car, the suspects tried to drive away, but cops were able to stop them.
Three men were arrested, one had a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital.
The driver is facing charges of DUI, and assault with a deadly weapon for driving toward the officers and the original subject of the traffic stop.
None of the officers were hurt, just shaken up from the incident.
