A family hadn’t even finishing unpacking their belongings in their Sacramento home when a car crashed into their living room around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
The family recently moved into the home on Eastern Avenue near Hazelwood Avenue and had spent nearly every night in their living room. The night the car crashed into the home was the first time the family slept in their bedrooms.
Sheriff’s deputies suspect both the driver and passenger of the BMW were intoxicated.
The passenger was found unconscious in the car and the driver was found wandering the streets asking where the passenger (his brother) was. Officials pulled up the name of the registered owner of the BMW and determined it was the same man they found wandering the streets.
Both men were taken to a medical center and the car was towed around 3 a.m.
