Fish and Wildlife Warden Shot by Hunter
EL DORADO COUNTY-
A Department of Fish and Wildlife warden is recovering with his family after being shot by a hunter Friday evening in El Dorado County.
The CDFW said Sunday afternoon that Warden Bob Pera was shot in the hand and was hit in the neck be shrapnel, but officials described his injuries as non-life-threatening.
Pera was able to call for help and the hunters were able to give him aid until help arrived.
Department spokesperson Patrick Foy told FOX40 that Pera was in “good spirits” through the weekend.
The incident remains under investigation.
