SACRAMENTO-

A Sacramento mom was arrested for child endangerment after her 11-year-old son with autism went missing for a few hours Saturday.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department says 31-year-old Desirae McKinney was released from jail early Sunday morning.

McKinney’s son, Joseph Kingery, walked away from his Rhode Island Drive home around noon Saturday and was found safe close to eight hours later.

McKinney is set to appear in court next month.
