A ticket sold in Northern California was the sole winner of Wednesday night’s $425+ million nationwide Powerball jackpot.
The ticket was sold at Dixon Landing Chevron in Milpitas. The store receives a $1 million bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The person who bought the winning ticket in Milpitas has not come forward at this time.
Two other tickets in California matched five of the six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing. One ticket was sold in Los Angeles County, the other in Modesto.
The ticket in Modesto was purchased at the Stop Save Liquor #2 along Coffee Road. The holder of that ticket walks away with a prize of more than $1.4 million.
The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night, the jackpot is now back down to $40 million.
