“Snail mail” may not contain many happy surprises nowadays; bills, junk, or credit card offers. But Friday morning, 100 medical students at UC Davis were anxious to open the paper letters in their hands. They learned where they will be spending the next five-to-seven years of their lives.
“I can’t be more excited, this is where I wanted to be,” said medical student Louis Godoy who will be staying local at UCD Medical Center in Sacramento.
The students open their letters in unison Friday morning at Davis where cheers echoed through out the ballroom.
It’s not just at Davis, 16,000 medical students around the country learned Friday where they will be going.
