MODESTO-

The city that the smash hit ‘American Graffiti’ was based on, will forever immortalize the characters’ names, and the director’s legacy, Wednesday in downtown Modesto.

There is a walk of fame in the plaza, that will have plaques similar to those seen on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

FOX40 caught up with Candy Clarke and Bo Hopkins, two stars of the film who say it’s always good to come back into town.

“I’ve been in about 100 movies, some good some bad, but this one was pretty special,” Hopkins said.

“I just got a fan letter from Russia, so clearly this movie is still popular,” Clarke said.

The plaques are on 10th Street, between J and K Streets.
