Miami Investigation into Kaepernick Closed, No Charges Filed
MIAMI, Florida -
An investigation into allegations against San Francisco 49ers quarterback Collin Kaepernick, teammate Quinton Patton, and Seattle Seahawks player Ricardo Lockette, has been closed with no charges filed.
Miami Police released their official report on their investigation into allegations of wrongdoing back in April, and state “there is no evidence to indicate that she was the victim of any crime”.
A woman said she had drinks with the three NFL players in a hotel in Miami, and admitted to drug use while there. She claimed Kaepernick kissed her, undressed her and then left. She later woke up in the hospital and did not know how she got there.
According to 911 calls and reports that came out during the investigation, Kaepernick was not in the room when police were called. The report released this week by Miami Police says there is surveillance video from the hotel showing the woman was agitated, brought out on a stretcher and taken to the hospital.
Investigators say medical and forensic examinations “did not reveal any evidence of physical trauma”.
