Three days after 31-year-old Kelsey Snyder’s death, friends are left with questions.
“I can’t imagine why someone would do this to her,” Bobby Khan, close a friend of Snyder’s, said Monday.
According to police, Kelsey was discovered by a friend who went to her apartment at 17th and P streets Saturday morning to check on her welfare after multiple texts and calls to her phone went unanswered.
Police confirmed her death was a homicide, but would not get into further details about the nature of her death.
“I just can’t believe this. She was the sweetest person ever,” Khan said.
Snyder grew up in Stockton and, according to friends, moved to midtown in 2012 to begin working with an insurance company.
She was married but friends also tell FOX40 she had been separated for several years with a mutual agreement with her husband to see other people.
Public records at the San Joaquin County courthouse say Snyder requested to take a restraining order on a man back in 2011. Friends tell FOX40 that man was an ex-boyfriend. However, records indicate the restraining order was never approved.
“Think about her when you’re doing anything, because she can’t go forward,” Khan said.
Sacramento Police would not say if they had a suspect in mind. However, police did tell FOX40 they are actively investigating this case.
If you have any information that might help their case, you are urged to contact them.
