A deputy is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a teen, who was a volunteer with the department at the time.
Placer County Sheriff’s deputy Ken Skogen was arrested Thursday and faces four felony counts. The charges are in connection with an alleged relationship he had with a 17-year-old girl in 2011.
The Placer County District Attorney’s Office accuses Skogen of having unlawful sex with a minor, meeting a minor for the purposes of having sex, and other charges.
The teen girl was a volunteer with the Placer County Sheriff’s Department at the time of the relationship in 2011.
The investigation into Skogen started after a tip from another deputy. Skogen will face these charges in court next month.
