More and more of what was the Downtown Plaza Mall is being eaten up by the heavy equipment now demolishing the place.
That has to happen before the site can become the new Sacramento Kings arena and entertainment complex.
The public viewing window along 7th Street is now open, but some of the most dramatic sights can be found along Sacramento’s L Street.
Full fencing and barricades are now up, and a lane on 5th Street has been blocked off for construction vehicles only.
Brian Blanton says he likes change, but he’s not sure that Sacramento needed this $477 million project.
“Uhhhhh needed….I’m very optimistic,” he said.
The Kings plan to host a community open house on August 25th at the arena Experience Center on ‘J’ Street to share project details with fans.
