Three of the four suspects were arrested in Placer County this week. Sheriff’s deputies say two men and two women walked into a Bel Air in Auburn Wednesday evening. They then reportedly filled duffel bags with baby formula cans.

A store employee tried to stop them, when one of the men ran out the front doors with a duffel bag. The other suspects dumped the cans in store aisles before running out of the store.

The initial suspect who ran off also dropped his duffel bag of formula.

Placer County Sheriff’s deputies got help from people in the area and tracked down the suspects’ car, which was a rental car, parked behind a building across the street from the Bel Air.

The two women were arrested as they ran from the car. The man inside the car ran off.

About two hours later, one of the men was found and arrested. He is identified as Damon Yon Marcus Nash of Hayward.

The women arrested were Charday Mariah Monique Brown of Hayward and Torryiel Gayla Griggs of Oakland. All three were booked on commercial burglary and conspiracy charges.

The rental car had 160 stolen items inside, most of which were large containers of baby formula. There was also packs of Prilosec medication, Sensodyne toothpaste and bottles of tequila. The items came back as stolen from various stores between Reno and the Bay Area.

There is no description of the fourth suspect at this time.
