CARMICHAEL-

Sacramento County Sheriff’s detectives say a young girl was taken against her will from her family’s Carmichael home early Sunday morning.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, a man was able to go into the Adelaide Way house through an unlocked door and take the girl, who was said to be younger than 10 years old.

She was taken into a wooded area but released unharmed soon after, detectives said.

The man is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20’s with short, brown, combed-back hair and brown eyes. He was between 5-feet-9-inches to 6 feet tall and between 120 to 160 pounds. He also reportedly has “healing” acne marks on his face.

The Sheriff’s Department released a sketch of the man Tuesday afternoon.

Anyone with information about the abduction or the suspect is asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115. Tips may also be submitted on the Sheriff’s Department website.
