2 people were found dead inside a South Sacramento home

Two people have died in a South Sacramento home Wednesday, in an incident that briefly put an elementary school on lock down.

Wednesday morning, gunshots were heard along Glenhills Way, near Elder Creek Road and 65th Street.

Camellia Elementary School was put on lock down briefly as officers searched the neighborhood for a possible suspect.

Sacramento Police officers then surrounded a home in the area, and tried to make contact with the people inside.

A short time later, two loud bangs were heard inside the home. When swat officers went inside, they found two people dead.

Initial reports from the scene indicate one of the victims had a self-inflected gunshot wound.
