Supporters and opponents of Sacramento's controversial Measure L, better known as the "Strong Mayor" initiative, held a debate Saturday at a CAPITAL meeting.

The measure would grant more power to Mayor Kevin Johnson.

Proponents say the measure would change and improve the way the city is governed, but the opposition argues that the current system works just fine.

Measure L is expected to drive high voter turnout.
