Sacramento Police are conducting a homicide investigation after discovering a person dead inside a home in South Sacramento.

Sacramento Police are actively conducting a homicide investigation after they discovered a person dead inside a home on Monday afternoon.

Police were making a stop at a home on Shining Star Drive in South Sacramento for a welfare check when they discovered the body.

Due to the suspicious nature of the death, authorities began a homicide investigation.

Police have yet to release any information about the victim’s identity, or the cause of death.
