CITRUS HEIGHTS-

The 32nd annual Christmas CanTree is being set up at the Sunrise Mall Monday.

The tree will be 15 feet tall, and will be entirely constructed out of canned food.

The tree is sponsored by the Sacramento Association of Realtors, and benefits the Salvation Army.

The canned goods were donated by individuals and businesses.

According to the Salvation Army, more than 150,000 individuals will benefit from the food contributed through the CanTree.

According to the Sacramento Association of Realtors, the goal of the Christmas CanTree is to raise enough money each Christmas to help the Sacramento Salvation Army supply items for their holiday food basket program.

The Christmas CanTree will be located in front of Sears until December 27th, when it will be dismantled and delivered to the Salvation Army’s distribution warehouse.
