A small fire on the Governor’s Mansion State Park grounds is being investigated by state officials.

According to Cal Fire, the burn mark of an extinguished fire was found early Sunday afternoon near the mansion’s carriage house.

A charred hand cart and a few exploded butane and propane canisters were found.

Some of the paint on the outside of the carriage house was burned off, but investigators say that was the extent of the damage.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the Cal Fire Arson Hotline at 1-800-468-4408.
