ROSEVILLE-

When a Roseville house went up in flames, 18-year-old Joseph Elvis happened to be driving by, the questions would be answered later.

Alvis says he broke down the screen door and ran inside to save his disabled mother.

"It's my mom. I would do it again if I could," Alvis told FOX40 Thursday.

Police quickly arrested 20-year-old Christopher James Robinson of Elk Grove after investigators say the man called police to turn himself in. Robinson is charged with arson and attempted murder.

Jospeh and the Alvis family say they don't recognize him.

Investigators believe the suspect got the wrong house, adding that the Alvis family was not the intended target.
