El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputy Arrested on Drug Charges

MINDEN, Nevada-

An El Dorado County sheriff’s deputy was arrested on drug charges in Minden, Nevada, on Tuesday.

Deputy Mark Zlendick and an unidentified female were arrested after Douglas County sheriff’s deputies found what they believed to be controlled substance paraphernalia while responding to a 911 call hangup at a residence in Minden. Deputies continued to investigate, and arrested Zlendick on drug-related charges.

Zlendick was booked into the Douglas County Jail. He has since posted bail and has been released.

Zlendick has worked for the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office since 2004, according to officials. He was been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
