ROSEVILLE-

An Orangevale man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill police officers and blow up Roseville High School and Westfield Galleria.

Roseville Police officers arrested Collin Box, 51, of Orangevale, Wednesday morning on suspicion of making criminal threats.

Beginning  Tuesday night, Box made several calls to various police officers threatening to kill officers and blow up Roseville High School and Westfield Galleria, according to police.

Officers had recently taken an unlawfully possessed gun from Box and were concerned he might have access to other firearms, police said.

Police say that Box also claimed in his calls that he had access to explosives.

Because of Box’s recent behavior and the violent nature of his threats, the Roseville-Rocklin Regional SWAT team assisted in his arrest Wednesday morning.

Box was stopped while he was driving away from his auto service business on Atlantic Street and was taken into custody without incident.

Box is being held in the Placer County Jail on $600,000 bail.
