DIXON--

School is out, but the halls of C.A. Jacobs Middle School in Dixon are full of teachers, students and staff gathered to mourn math teacher Katie Anderson.

Anderson was killed early Sunday morning when the truck she was in lost control and crashed along the Manuel Campos Parkway in Fairfield.

"She was so alive and to lose her just hurts so badly," Dixon Unified Superintendent Brian Dolan said. "I am her boss and I have 350 employees but she was one that stood out."

Grief counselors were on campus all day for students and teachers. Anderson's class was filled with cards and flowers.
