TURLOCK --

Die-hard Martina McBride fans got a special treat Tuesday night at the Stanislaus County Fair. The country crooner serenaded hundreds of fairgoers.

FOX40 spoke with some delighted fans who were more than willing to wait for hours for the country superstar.

Martina McBride’s velvety smooth voice; it’s the tune that carries more than just a perfect note.

It’s the sound of a lifelong dream come true especially for hardcore Martina McBride fans.

"I just love her. She is the best singer, and she has got the voice. Oh, it’s just awesome,” Priscilla Den, a fan from Modesto said.

“I was supposed to babysit today, and so I turned that down to come here,” Amanda Costa, another fan from Modesto told FOX40.

Fans waited for hours to see McBride sing their favorite songs.

“Definitely ‘Independence Day’ and ‘Concrete Angel’ those are my favorite. KR: How does that go? AC: I’m not going to sing,” Costa said.

But, we couldn’t persuade anyone to serenade us.

Fan Priscilla Den said she loves McBride so much, she risked her health just to see her in person, “I have fibromyalgia, and I also have some autoimmune and some other issues, health issues,” Den said.

But for the longtime fan, the pain Wednesday is worth the dream come true Tuesday night. As she was whisked away by song and transformed by McBride’s music even for just a moment, “I’ll be sick tomorrow probably but it’s worth it,” Den said, laughing.
