Spencer Stone, Sacramento Native and French Train Hero, Arrives in California

Spencer Stone, one of the three Sacramento men credited with stopping a gunman on a French train, arrived at Travis Air Force Base just after 8 p.m. Thursday

Airman Stone is the third of Sacramento's hometown heroes to return to the U.S. Oregon National Guard Specialist Alek Skarlatos and CSUS senior Anthony Sadler returned last week.

The three men overpowered a gunman aboard a train from Amsterdam to France on Aug. 21.

Officials said Stone would not be speaking with the media Thursday.

Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson announced Thursday that the "Heroes Parade" would be held September 11. The parade will be held at noon on Capitol Mall.
