FOLSOM--

Folsom Police say a wanted felon was taken into custody Monday Morning after burglarizing two local business then crashing his car into a minivan with a mother and child inside on Blue Ravine at Big Valley Road.

Both the 25-year-old suspect and this female victim in the minivan were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, but are expected to be okay.

The child walked away from the accident with no significant injuries.

The call to police from a local business came in just after 8 a.m., when dispatched officers found the suspect as he was leaving another business.

"The break-in was discovered by an employee of one of the businesses," said Andrew Bates with Folsom P.D.

Bates also said that items for the businesses - later to be determined a salon and clothing store, were found in the suspect's car.

The pursuit of the 25-year-old lasted about four miles prior to the crash. Bates wouldn't specify how fast the chase got.

"We were vary cautious of the traffic and people's safety," Bates said. "It wasn't one of those 100 mile per hour chases."
