SACRAMENTO —

The Downtown Sacramento Holiday Ice Rink will celebrate its grand opening at noon Nov. 6, kicking off the winter season with free skating for all for the day.

Slamson will be on hand to work the crowd.

At the corner of Seventh and K streets, the ice rink has been a seasonal landmark since 1991.

“There’s something magical about being downtown for the holidays,” said Michael Ault, Executive Director of the Downtown Sacramento Partership. “The downtown ice rink is a place where families, couples, and friends have been coming to for more than 20 years to enjoy the holiday season and create treasured holiday memories.”

The ice rink will be open daily to the public Nov. 6 through Jan. 18. Admission is $8, skate rentals are $2 and locker rentals are $2.
