SACRAMENTO–

Fire reignited Wednesday afternoon at the old Crystal Ice building in Midtown Sacramento.

City firefighters say this is “not unexpected,” and crews remained on scene to pour water on the hot spot.

16th and R streets were blocked off as firefighters dealt with the small fire.

Part of the building burned early Saturday in a three-alarm fire. Half of it was slated to be rehabbed as a mixed-use, residential and retail space known as the Ice Blocks building.
