Woman Drives into Crowd of People after Starting Bar Fight

SONOMA COUNTY —

Sonoma County deputies responded to El Rey Club at 5344 Sebastopol in Santa Rosa around 2:40 a.m. Saturday for a reported assault.

Medical personnel arrived and attended to at least five people with moderate to major injuries.

All of the victims had been struck by a woman driving a minivan leaving the bar parking lot. Victims said the woman also struck a victim on the head with a beer bottle earlier.

The van was found disabled with airbags deployed and damage to the front of the vehicle at the intersection of Ludwig Avenue and Llano Road soon after the reported assault.

The owner of the car, Jessica Garcia Leos, 29, was tracked down at her address on Dutton Meadows. Leos was confirmed as the person who drove the vehicle into the crowd at the bar.

She was booked into Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility for DUI, assault with a deadly weapon resulting in great bodily injury and attempted murder.

One victim from the incident remains hospitalized in critical condition.
