SACRAMENTO —

The Inderkum High School teacher, Byron Wallace, who was arrested October 23 has now been charged with additional sexual assault charges.

On October 27 an additional victim came forward to police reporting an alleged sex act involving 33-year-old Wallace.

The victim reported the incident happened in 2014 when the victim was a student at Inderkum.

Monday, after an investigation, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office charged Wallace with two additional counts of intercourse with a minor under the age of 18 and two counts of oral copulation.

The Natomas Unified School District has released the following statement regarding Wallace.

Natomas Unified was not aware of allegations involving any other minor and is saddened to hear of these charges. Byron Wallace has not worked in Natomas Unified this school year. He was placed on administrative leave last May when the Sacramento Police Department launched its investigation. Natomas Unified announced upon his arrest that it will finalize its administrative investigation and proceed to terminate Mr. Wallace’s services with the district. NUSD will continue to cooperate with the police department, which has asked to be contacted by anyone with additional information on this case.
