SACRAMENTO —

After several days on the run, a male suspect was arrested Friday in connection to the murder of his girlfriend in Yuba County, according to Sacramento Sheriff’s spokesman Tony Turnbull.

Jonnyrae Witt, 25, was wanted for the Nov. 22  murder of his girlfriend 31-year-old Leslie Cramblit near the town of Rackerby in Yuba County. Witt shot Cramblit one time, killing her, then fled the scene before the arrival of deputies. Before the killing, Witt was wanted for a home invasion where he fired at the homeowner and the homeowner’s son.

After serving a search warrant, authorities say Witt was taken into custody without incident at 2:50 p.m. in the 3500 block of Gibbons Drive, and other subjects in the house were detained.
