Sac PD Calls on the Community to Help Solve Fatal Shooting Investigation

SACRAMENTO --

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community's help in solving a homicide that happened Thursday night.

Authorities responded to the 2300 block of Empress Street around 9:55 p.m. for reported shots fired.

Once on the scene a 25-year-old man was found in the middle of the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is on-going. No motives or suspects are known.

Neighbors say shootings are common in this area and they hope to see more police presence in the area along with cooperation from the community.
