Dogs Escape from Home During Carmichael Fire, Bite Two People

CARMICHAEL —

Two dogs who escaped during a fire in Carmichael have been captured.

The fire started at a condo on Coyle Avenue Thursday evening.

The two dogs were inside at the time of the fire and escaped from the home when firefighters broke in to help.

The dogs bit two people inside the complex. They have minor injuries.

The dogs were detained.

One firefighter was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
