WALNUT GROVE --

It will be another, agonizing night for the Moparti family.

For nine days now they've searched and wondered what happened to 55-year-old Prasad Moparti, who disappeared February 13 from the riverside celebration of his daughter's wedding.

Monday, just five miles downriver from the Grand Island Mansion where the wedding celebration was held, a body was found in Steamboat Slough by boaters out on the river.

There is no official identification of the dead male. The county coroner is working to determine if it is Moparti.

Sacramento County Sheriff's investigators say there were no signs of foul play.

Prasad Moparti had just come here from India a month earlier, to attend his daughter's nuptials.

The wedding party is still here, through a spokesperson said they are too distressed to talk.

They are  facing another long night of not knowing. Only now they are hoping tomorrow bring the exact opposite result from what they have been wishing for the past nine days. They hope to hear from the coroner tomorrow that still, that no one knows where the father of the bride is.
