Girl Rescued from Freezing Water after Snow Bridge Collapse

CASTLE PEAK–

On Sunday, a Marin Search and Rescue Team rescued a 10-year-old girl from a 10-foot-hole near Castle Peak in Sierras.

The girl had reportedly fallen into the freezing water after a snow bridge collapsed, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department. She suffered no injuries and was not transported to the hospital.

Marin SAR says youth members Malcolm Schoenlien and Lauren Knott helped with the rescue.
