STOCKTON--

A broken pipe inside of a Save Mart utility room off of Quail Lakes Drive in Stockton caused massive flooding to the store and parking lot early Monday morning.

"Water was everywhere," Ed Burrow, of MW Plumbing, told FOX40.

Burrow didn't know how much water came out of the pipe, but said it was gushing for a couple of hours.

The flooding started at around 3:30 a.m.

Employees did what they could to suction up or push out the water with brooms trying to get the store open for early morning shoppers.

As of 8 a.m. the store remained closed.
