Executive Director of WEAVE Beth Hassett is outside with Mae and a brave man talking all about the 6th annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. The event is a playful way for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes, effects, and remediations to men's sexualized violence against women.
This year the event will host about 1,300 men who are taking a stand.
We believe there is something magical about Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. It has changed how our entire region works collectively to build a community that does not tolerate domestic violence and sexual assault. It has raised more funds to ensure survivors have the resources they need to be safe and thrive.
