The victims in Monday night's deadly hit and run crash in Lodi were a Lyft driver and his passenger, the ride hailing company confirmed Tuesday.

"Our hearts go out to all involved in this tragic accident. We will work with the authorities in their ongoing investigation and support in any way we can," Lyft spokesperson Alexandra LaManna said in a statement to FOX40.

Anthony Pena, 62, and his fare, 43-year-old David Phillips, were driving near Lodi and Pleasant Avenue when they were hit by a Nissan Altima around 8 p.m.

One teen from the Altima was detained. He was also found with a gun. A second teen from the car ran from the scene. Investigators believe he may also be armed.
