Paul McCartney Announced as First Performer at Golden 1 Center

SACRAMENTO– The Golden 1 Center has named its first performer: Paul McCartney.

The announcement was made Monday morning at the still-under construction arena. The former Beatle will be in Sacramento on Oct. 4.

“We are honored to feature global icon Paul McCartney in our first concert at Golden 1 Center, an historic moment for Sacramento,” Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadive said in a statement. “Joining forces with Paul affirms that Golden 1 Center is a world-class venue, and Sacramento will be a top destination for the best acts from around the globe.”

McCartney’s Oct. 4 show will be his first stop in Sacramento in more than a decade.

Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m., and exclusive presales for American Express Card members go on sale beginning May 3.
