NEW YORK — Four people were shot at a concert Wednesday evening in New York City, authorities said.

Video supposedly from inside the Irving Plaza music venue, located near Union Square, showed people frantically scrambling to leave the dance floor.

Rapper T.I. was scheduled to perform Wednesday evening, according to the venue’s website.

Three men and one woman were shot, according to NYPD Detective Hubert Reyes.

One of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries, Reyes said. A 34-year-old man was shot in the chest and a 33-year-old man was shot in the stomach. One of the men has died, but police did not say which one.

Two people were shot in the leg — a woman, 26, and a 30-year-old man who walked himself to a nearby hospital.

Officials told CNN affiliate WCBS that the shots were fired at about 7 p.m.

Irving Plaza has a capacity of approximately 1,000 people, its website says.
