Police Find Rifle During Search for Suspects in Roseville

ROSEVILLE -- Police spent hours searching for two armed suspects in Roseville on Wednesday after gunshots were reportedly heard near Antelope Creek and the Roseville Galleria area.

After searching the creek system, police were unable to find the suspects. However, they did find a rifle.

All perimeters around the creek have been broken down. Officers are still looking for evidence in the area.

Parts of I-80 and Highway 65 were shut down due to police activity in Roseville on Wednesday morning.

Westbound Interstate 80 was closed down between Rocklin Road and Eureka Road.

Southbound 65 was also shut down to westbound I-80.

The highways have since been reopened.

The Roseville Police Department was searching for the two suspects.There are no reports of injuries.

Police aircraft are also being used in the search.

The two suspects are described as men in their 20s. One is wearing a blue or turquoise shirt and the other is in a black shirt.

Roseville Transit buses were delayed by at least an hour due to the police activity. They have since returned to their normal schedules.
