In this week's Salute to Service, FOX40 is recognizing 17-year-old Dillon Hill, a teen just starting college at UC Davis. He created a nonprofit that helps people going through a rough time -- all with the help of video games.
In fifth grade, Dillon's best friend Chris was diagnosed with Leukemia -- a cancer that would come and go as Chris got older. To take his friend's mind off of his battle with the disease, Dillon would visit Chris and play video games.
In February, Dillon Launched his nonprofit "Gamer's Gift" and started visiting nursing homes and children's hospitals in the Sacramento and Fresno area. It's a form of therapy that's connecting the young and old with just the click of a button.
If you'd like to volunteer or help Dillon expand, visit his website.
