Dangers of Blue-Green Algae

Paul is in the studio with Dr. Dean Blumberg, Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UC Davis Children's Hospital, to talk about the dangers of blue-green algae blooms. These blooms can produce toxins that pose a health risk if the affected water is touched or swallowed. Signs of blue-green algae poisoning include eye irritation, skin rashes, mouth ulcers, vomiting, diarrhea and cold and flu-like symptoms.
