WOODLAND -- Woodland Police say officers were shot at while investigating a deadly stabbing late Tuesday night.
Officers were called to a mobile home park on East Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. for reports that a man had been stabbed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say several people were taken to their station for questioning.
While officers were investigating the scene, investigators say a car drove by and someone yelled "derogatory remarks" before shooting at the officers.
No one was hit or injured.
Police didn't provide any other information about the vehicle.
Woodland police say there was a fence in between the shooter and the officers, which prevented them from getting a good look at the suspect or vehicle.
They are welcoming tips from the public.
Four suspects were arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal stabbing, facing murder charges with gang enhancements.
They are 22-year-old Justin Mathew Gonzalez, 22-year-old Vanessa Ramos, 23-years-old Cynthia Maria Tello, and 18-year-old Alexis Ivan Velasquez, all from Woodland.
