AMBER Alert Canceled After Bay Area Baby Found Safe

UPDATE: The CHP now reports both have been found, and the baby is safe.

SAN FRANCISCO — An AMBER Alert has been issued for a baby abducted in the Bay Area.

Eleven-month-old William Brown was taken from San Francisco Wednesday evening by 44-year-old Phoebe Haynes, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Brown was last seen wearing grey pajamas with sharks on them.

Haynes was described as a black woman at 5 feet tall and 180 pounds. She was last seen driving a white, 2004 Acura TL with unknown license plates. The rear bumper may be black.

The AMBER Alert is in effect for San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa, Solano, Santa Clara and Alameda counties.

Anyone who sees the baby or Haynes should call 911.
