Tribune Media and DISH Network Reach Agreement, FOX40 Programming Returns

CHICAGO — Tribune Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Tribune Media, and DISH Network announced a long-term, comprehensive agreement Saturday, guaranteeing the return of programming to thousands of households across the U.S.

The agreement means DISH customers can once again enjoy FOX40 programming, including “Empire,” National Football League games and Major League Baseball.

Both companies released a joint statement early Saturday afternoon:

“We want to thank our viewers and customers for their patience and support as we worked through this lengthy process. We’re pleased to move forward and again be able to provide the content of Tribune’s local stations and WGN America for years to come.”

The details of the agreement were not immediately disclosed.
