Man Accused of DUI in Deadly, Wrong-Way Crash

SACRAMENTO — An Orangevale man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Monday after a deadly crash along Madison Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Brandon Fernandez was driving the wrong way in a westbound lane of Madison Avenue as he hit a motorcycle.

Both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were killed.

Fernandez was booked into jail on felony charges of DUI and manslaughter.
