Blue Angels Scheduled to Fly in Capital Airshow

SACRAMENTO — One day after having to cancel their scheduled performance, the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, are expected to fly Sunday, officials announced.

On Saturday morning pilot Cmdr. Ryan Bernacchi contracted a food sickness and had to be medically evaluated by doctors, forcing the show the afternoon show to be canceled.

Officials with the Capital Airshow tweeted Sunday, “We are happy to share that Cmdr. Bernacchi is feeling much better. The team has confirmed they will perform today at approx 3pm!”

According to a statement, Saturday ticket holders can see the show for free general admission by showing a printed, or mobile, ticket.
