SACRAMENTO — To celebrate its relaunch of “Gilmore Girls,” Netflix is converting hundreds of coffee shops into Luke’s Diner locations on Wednesday.
The two Sacramento locations, Chocolate Fish on P Street and Trade Coffee on K Street, are offering free 12-ounce cups from 7 a.m. until noon.
“Gilmore Girls” isn’t the first TV favorite it’s revived. The streaming service has previously found success bringing back “Arrested Development” and continuing “Full House” with “Fuller House.”
Lorelai and Rory return with new episodes in November, but Wednesday’s coffee event coincides with the anniversary of the “Gilmore Girls” pilot airing for the first time on Oct. 5, 2000.
