SACRAMENTO -- One man was killed and another was injured after a shooting early Saturday morning outside the Flame Club bar on 16th Street, police say.

Officers responded to the bar shortly after 1:30 a.m. Both shooting victims were taken to the hospital. The surviving victim is said to be in serious condition.

"I just came to work this morning and saw all the cops and everything blocked off so thankfully it wasn't on our side," said Alberto Rynda who works near Flame Club.

Whether the two adult victims knew each other and/or were inside the bar before the shooting is under investigation according to the Sacramento Police Department.

The department said the victims didn't shoot at each other. There is an outstanding suspect involved. No arrests have been made and the motive is undetermined.

The Sac PD said robberies in the area have been reported recently, but there isn't much criminal activity beyond that until now.

The owner of the Flame Club declined to comment on the incident.

Police say no motive for the shooting has been determined, and they are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or whatever led up to it.
