SACRAMENTO -- A woman who lives in the Capital City is among those whose new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones have erupted into smoke and flames.
"All of the sudden my phone started hissing," explained Gita Halderman. "And it was like a rocket that was exploding. So once you saw all that come out...it just burst into flames."
She said she only had the phone for a few weeks, and it was turned off when it caught fire Saturday night during a meeting she was attending.
FOX40 found Halderman's story on Facebook where she shared it to warn her friends who have Galaxy Note 7 phones.
Samsung has halted sales of the Galaxy Note 7 because of multiple similar reports of fires.
